New Ocean Voyager Storage Area

If you’ve passed through the Ocean Voyager top deck recently, you’ve probably seen some big changes (and maybe wondered why Dive Ops is building a massive jungle gym).

Jim McAlister hard at work
This has been for a complete relocation of all diving gear out of the old, smaller OV dive gear locker onto a much more spacious area on the OV deck. This impressive new structure, built by Dive Ops’ own Jim McAlister, now holds all of the OV volunteer gear as well as the Dive Immersion Program’s equipment for guests. This improved layout has definitely made it easier to locate and organize all of our BCs, wetsuits, fins, booties, gloves and more.

The room that used to hold the dive equipment is currently being renovated to become OV Husbandry Department’s new office space, which will give them much more room to work in.
